Live!…By the Spirit with Kathleen E. Walls

When I was little, I remember people used to tell me to tie a string around my finger to remember things.  Over time, I have utilized many ways of remembering such as strengthening my memory, writing lists and posting them in “can’t be missed places”, having friends/family call, and/or programming my phone to sound an alarm at certain times to remind me of where I need to be and what I need to be doing.  Despite all of these reminders of what I am physically and mentally supposed to be doing and focused on, there are those “spiritual contracts” that also need attention.  These reminders seem to come in other ways; for me, it is when I keep hearing the same message over and over again.  These may be messages of rest, of a person that I need to contact, and/or of an activity that I need to participate in.  Regardless of the activity, I have learned to discern when Spirit is giving me a reminder.

In these last couple weeks of August, take some time and listen to the messages and reminders that are being Given by the Spirit.  Are you being led to rest, meditate, or be still?  Are being led to write, sing, or have an event?  Are you being led to contact/visit someone, someplace, or just go for a drive? Whatever it is be sure to listen and follow through….your spirit is giving you a reminder.

God Bless and Continue to Live By the Spirit.
