The Body is Your Temple

What is the one thing that stays with you from birth until death? It is a gift, it may change over time, yet you need it more than anything else in the world. Your body! Too often we sacrifice our bodies for other things, such as eating poorly, not exercising regularly, or not respecting ourselves. Our body is the vessel, the one gift that we need from birth until death.

It is the beacon in which we need to reach our goals and soar.

It is never too late to RESTORE the body and give it the love and maintenance it needs in order to function. Are you feeling lethargic or often times down for no particular reason? It may be just a simple change in your diet you need to bounce back. Replace those sugary or salty snacks with green leaf vegetables, your source for a healthier you. Craving salt? Replace it with various spices. Learn the gift of spices.

Many cultural dishes around the world are delicious all due to a simple tiny spice. Remember, natural flavors such as ginger, turmeric, garlic, and cayenne pepper are not only extremely healthy for you, but can change a similar dish into a completely different meal, depending on what you use.

You don’t need an expensive membership to get into shape. Going on walks and regular stretching are the key elements to a healthy body. A healthy body helps make more clear and conscious decisions, whether it is with family or at work. Skin problems start to dissipate, your hair starts to see its best days, and your body becomes more toned with the ingestion of specific foods.

According to the Bible, your body is a temple of the spirit, and you are the caretaker of your body and soul. To me, your body and your mind are gifts, and you must use them to the best of your ability to achieve whatever your purpose or purposes are during your life. Give yourself permission to keep physically active and to eat properly. Enjoy cooking, learn new healthy recipes and experiment with cuisines from all over the world. The Internet is an excellent resource.

Its time to take the reins of your life! Make the decision that you want to live healthy and happy.  Respect your body more, and you will quickly learn how to respect yourself more.
