LIVE: Restore by the Spirit — Road to Restoration

LIVE! … By the Spirit™ with Kathleen E. Walls

Road to Restoration

It’s 2011 and we are on the “Road to Restoration”! In my book, The G.R.E.A.T.E.S.T. Soul Journey, the first part of the acronym G.R.E. stands for “God Restores Excellence”. Thus, through our relationship with God, we are able to return to our original condition, return to our original value, return to our original spiritual understanding of who we are.

Our spiritual understanding of restoration, allows us to understand that life circumstances have occurred as experiences to teach us lessons and gives us the opportunities to “tap into” and then function out of our “highest divine self”. See on the Road to Restoration we are headed back to the beginning, the true beginning. The beginning that highlights our connection to the Source of all and remembers that we are an extension of that Greatness, and are the embodiment of that Excellence.

All we have to do first is remember.

In A Villager Speaks, by Tonya Marie Evans, we are reminded that “until you take your last breath, you will always have time to return to your place of origin and begin again…” We are also reminded of this concept in the phrase “born again”. This term is often associated with religion and Christianity. However, if we look beyond its religious or Christian associations, we recognize that it is characterized by terms such as renewal, return, reformed spiritually, resurgence, etc. Again we have the choice, the option to begin again and be RESTORED. Therefore, as we  journey through this thing called life, at any point we can travel down the Road to Restoration.

During your journey, I encourage you to do the following:

1. Think about and journal where in your life you need to be restored

2. Pray, meditate, and list the action steps that are needed to restore these areas

3. Visualize and experience what your restored life looks and feels like

This last step is just as important as the first two steps because once you visualize and feel it, you know that it is possible and you will start moving toward it in mind, body, and spirit.

Happy Travels, God Bless and Continue to Live By The Spirit!

  1. What a powerful way to begin this new year and this new day! Thank you for this message and the tools to begin (again) on this road to restoration. I think it’s also called life! And thanks for the quote 🙂

    • Thank you Tonya 😀

I caught between titling it “Road to Restoration” or “Begin Again”. The reality that at any point we can “Begin Again” is so powerful and often forgotten. We have the ability and it is often an option and choice that we don’t exercise enough. Many times we are “dealt cards” but just like in many card games, we can put down the ones we are dealt, trade them in, and get a new set or work with the ones we have left. Once this is done, we are often surprised with what we have to “work with”…often times it is “better than we could ever think or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).

      Have a Great Week,
