Your Cup Runneth Over

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Psalm 23:5

Sometimes we are so caught up in the hustle and bustle and the details of everyday living that we neglect to see all that we are blessed with and that we’ve accomplished successfully. We miss the unremarkable, simple beauty of a child’s laugh, a butterfly, that first sip of morning coffee, your favorite song, a stranger holding the elevator door for you, the unsolicited compliment from a passerby or the beauty of the change of seasons.

The simple moments we connect with someone or something other than ourselves in a life-affirming way is the way Spirit moves through and between us and connects us to each other. It allows us take the focus off of our perceived lack and see …. really see that in every moment we are in an abundant space; every moment our cup runneth over. Even (and especially) in the midst of crisis and challenges that are a part of everyone’s earthly experience.  God is always with us, opening windows when doors around us are closed.

So today deliberately seek what is good, what is right and what is working. Today, affirm that your cup runneth over and reap the fruit of this positive, loving intention.
