Tear falling

Wipe the tears away (credit: lifefununi)

As I searched for a great “positive thinking” quote to kick off this post, I came across the following Swedish proverb (it was the second one I found at thinkexist.com!):

“Fear less, hope more; Eat less, chew more; Whine less, breathe more; Talk less, say more; Love more, and all good things will be yours.”

Well, as they frequently say in southern Baptist churches, “let the church say … AMEN!”

Twenty five simple words. One powerful concept. Remove obsessive thoughts and actions from your life and replace them with the things of Spirit: faith, hope, LOVE. Be present enough to see the good in and all around you. Slow down to speed up your ability to acknowledge and receive all of the goodness that awaits you when you resolve to be about the business of creating more abundance in your life. Simply stated: weep less … and REAP MORE!

Be clear, however. I am not discouraging you from feeling your feelings. But I caution you against becoming stuck in them or letting them define you. It is a far different affirmation to say “I’m sad” than it is to say “I am experiencing sadness.” You are not sad. You are amazing. You are an awesome, beautiful divine creature made in the likeness and image of GOD. Nothing sad about that, I assure you! Whether you believe it or not does not change that awesome reality. But the danger of not believing it is to allow the lies told by fear to block out the SHINE of your truth.

So wipe away those tears. Acknowledge that your emotions rise and fall like the tide. And remember that like the sun, God is always there, even when it’s cloudy or you are in the midst of a storm. Spirit is in control and seeks to give you balance, order, perspective and hope in your life. So wipe away the tears. Don’t worry. Be Happy. Reap … and SHINE!
