SHINE! … By the Spirit™ with Tonya M. Evans

SHINE on Purpose!

I am a child of God!

A unique and individual gift to this universe,

An angel who understands from whence my blessings flow,

An appreciator of the expansiveness of my earth-toned wings.

And I feel my own rays of life shining,

I fell my melodies of life signing,

I feel my righteous rivers raging,

I feel my defiant winds swirling,

I feel my flowers growing …

I feel my beauty showing!

Excerpt from Find Your Own Shine, by Tonya Marie Evans

This excerpt from my signature poem, Find Your Own Shine, can best be summed up in three words: SHINE ON PURPOSE. These three little words when put together have several spiritually charged meanings.

1. Shine with a goal (with purpose – with an intended or desired result; end; aim; in mind). When you align your will with a particular goal in mind your focused energy and attention expands that goal, bringing to you the people and resources you need to realize it. But to tap into spiritual power, our goals must be aligned with God’s will (purpose) for our lives (see #2!) and with Spirit’s guidance. That, indeed, is where our real power lies!

Remember: “What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways.” Job 22:27-29

“Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” 2 Corinthians 5:4-6

2. Shine in your gift zone (your purpose – the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used, etc. determination; resoluteness).  You were created for a reason! If you do not know the reason, your reason for being is to discover your reason for being! Our collective reason for being, however, is to make manifest the glory of God’s love and all the “things of Spirit.”

Our Creator is a God of order, clarity and … PURPOSE. We are created in that image. As I explained in a prior post, we all have unique spiritual gifts and we all need to rely on and support each other in expressing God’s love fully. So shining in your gift zone is a part of the larger plan. Shine WITH purpose on YOUR purpose … now we’re getting somewhere!

Remember: “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.” Luke 11:32-34

3. Shine deliberately (on purpose – by design; intentionally) To SHINE is our divine birthright! We are designed to shine. Intentionally. Unapologetically. On purpose. Not the trappings and illusions of an external shine … that is, just looking the part. But an authentic SHINE from the inside out, a divine light from the Spirit within you that connects with the Spirit within others.

Remember: “Stable, meaningful external effects don’t occur until we’ve experienced an internal stirring. Once an internal stirring has occurred, external effects cannot fail to happen.” Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love

So as we end this month’s theme, this is your charge to help you find your OWN divine shine:

SHINE WITH purpose, on YOUR purpose, and ON purpose.

Selah and AMEN!

Namaste!

(the God [shine] in me recognizes and affirms the God [shine] in you)
