Let's do and say the things that nurture us each day!

  1. Say What You Mean – NURTURE your voice of confidence by releasing the fear of disappointing others or feeling as if you lose out or miss something by speaking sincerely about where you are, how you feel or what you need.
  2. Find Your Theme Song – Find a song or list of songs that really inspire you, make you feel like you are on top of the world and for one week play your theme song or playlist.  Play it in the car on the way to work and watch it change your mood for the day.  Play it while getting dressed in the morning. Set it as your ringtone on your phone.  Fill your whole day with your musical affirmation!
  3. Eat Your Vital “Vegetables” – Put  the things that are good for you into your daily life, even though you may not always want to do them because they seem tedious…do it anyway…at least one thing a day that directly feeds your soul and mind in a healthy way.  If you know prayer centers you and focuses you in the moment or for the day, just do it!
  4. Keep it Simple – You could create a 5-point plan with graphs and charts,  a facebook, twitter, linkedin, myspace page with flash-page website and a sky-writer…suuuure!  But could also start simple…send an email to folks on your promo list, make that phone call, take that day off, read up on something you’ve been wanting to check out for a while. One day at a time, one act at a time…this is the way to change.
  5. Have fun! – Oh my how we turn everything into work!  A party is meant to be fun and bring them joy, but the next thing you know we are juggling plans for a red carpet, live performances, ticket sales, debating the guest list and searching for Cirque de Soleil performers and suddenly we find ourselves pretty close to pulling our hair out!  Remember step #4 , take a breath, and jump in the moon bounce! This works with almost everything in life…find some part of it that can be enjoyable…and enjoy it! Use that energy to fuel the rest of the project!

The time we take to make small changes each day to be more nurturing towards yourself, is directly proportionate to the consistency that you are able to offer others in the way of nurturing.  Part of being more nurturing is being able to use our energy wisely…it is the way in which we approach the things we do and say, not just the act itself.
Let’s NURTURE ourselves each day to create a cycle of good stuff in the coming weeks!

I speak from my spirit,
boldly and with beautiful passion.

I sing a song that my soul sings along to…

I take in all that is good for me, choosing health as my foundation
for bringing more good things my way.

I release the tangled webs I create and allow Spirit
to inspire me with ideas of ease and simplicity.

I find joy in the little things,
happiness is my welcome neighbor who I am grateful to visit often.
